San Antonio metallers Silence the Messenger are building up to the release of their new album ‘Achilles,’ and they’ve decided to share a new track from the album exclusively with Noisecreep. The group delivers the brutal new song ‘Fury’ for your listening pleasure.
Take a listen here.
Frontman Steven Tinnon told Noisecreep of the song, “We chose this song as the opener for the record because we feel like it really sets the tone for the rest of the album lyrically and instrumentally, and it helps open up the ‘story’ of ‘Achilles’ for what the rest of the album has to offer. It gives the listener a great idea of the new direction we’ve taken as a band, with a familiar taste of where we came from on our previous record.”
Tinnon reaches deep for the guttural screams that populate this track, while drummer Fernando Lemus is off to the races keeping the beat on the song. Guitarists Paolo Galang and James Lyle offer some incendiary licks and bassist Jared Jobson completes the song by cutting through with some solid low end.
Simply put, Silence the Messenger bring the brutal with a capital B. Tinnon says, “We’re not here to reinvent the wheel. We’re here to play pissed off, heavy music that we love for as many people as we can, and have a great f—ing time doing it.” And the band will do just that during their Oct. 18 record release show at San Antonio’s rock club, the White Rabbit.
If you like what you hear, you can pre-order Silence the Messenger’s ‘Achilles’ album online. It’s available in standard CD and a variety of bundle formats at this location.

Tulsa, OK post hardcore up-and-comers OUTLINE IN COLOR have signed with
Standby Records! The band’s label debut is expected to be released in Summer
Bassist Michael Skaggs says, “We are really excited to get into the studio
again! We’ve been working on new jams for a while now, and are stoked to
share them with the world. We will be recording with Drew Fulk, who has been
a fan of us since nearly the beginning. We couldn’t be happier to be working
with someone that is as excited about the project as we are.”
Forming from the remnants of several local bands in 2010, OUTLINE IN COLOR
self-released their first EP that same year, a self-titled effort which went
on to sell over 7,000 digital copies. With the addition of clean vocalist
K.C. Simenson (who left Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA to officially
join the band in February of 2011) the band recorded their well-received
debut LP, Jury of Wolves.
OUTLINE IN COLOR has shared the stage with Memphis May Fire, Make Me Famous,
Motionless In White, The Word Alive, The Color Morale, Stick To Your Guns, A
Skylit Drive, ForToday and many more both locally and regionally.
