The Relapse Symphony recently released an acoustic version of their debut full-length, Shadows, and today we’re excited to premiere the lyric video for “The Ghost That Got Away.” Sing along with the mellow rendition of the track above.
“‘The Ghost That Got Away’ is one of the, for lack of a better word — “Ass Kickers” on our album Shadows,” vocalist Bret Von Dehl confesses. “It was interesting to break it back down to its foundation of just guitar and vocal melody again. Although I wouldn’t have thought it at the beginning, nothing was lost in its acoustic adaptation. I believe it to be an exceedingly interesting version of the song. Appropriately enough, the acoustic version has a much more haunting vibe and execution than it’s throat-punching, full-on-Rock N Roll predecessor on our debut full-length Shadows. In case you were wondering, the “F-bomb” is my favorite part.”
Shadows (The Acoustic Sessions) is out now on and is available for purchase through iTunes.
