Tulsa, OK post hardcore up-and-comers OUTLINE IN COLOR have signed with
Standby Records! The band’s label debut is expected to be released in Summer
Bassist Michael Skaggs says, “We are really excited to get into the studio
again! We’ve been working on new jams for a while now, and are stoked to
share them with the world. We will be recording with Drew Fulk, who has been
a fan of us since nearly the beginning. We couldn’t be happier to be working
with someone that is as excited about the project as we are.”
Forming from the remnants of several local bands in 2010, OUTLINE IN COLOR
self-released their first EP that same year, a self-titled effort which went
on to sell over 7,000 digital copies. With the addition of clean vocalist
K.C. Simenson (who left Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA to officially
join the band in February of 2011) the band recorded their well-received
debut LP, Jury of Wolves.
OUTLINE IN COLOR has shared the stage with Memphis May Fire, Make Me Famous,
Motionless In White, The Word Alive, The Color Morale, Stick To Your Guns, A
Skylit Drive, ForToday and many more both locally and regionally.

San Antonio metal act Silence The Messenger will release their new LP, Achilles, on October 15 via Standby Records. The album artwork and track listing are revealed below.
With a handful of tours, and a solid EP from 2010 entitled “Buried” under their belts, the band, newly signed to Standby Records, is ready to step it up and release their next album, Achilles, which was recorded at Studio D in Cleveland, Ohio with Landon Tewers of The Plot In You.
Heavily influenced by anything that’s fast and heavy, their sound is derived from a mixture of old and new metal such as Slipknot, Behemoth, Whitechapel, and anything in between. To expect anything less than an aggressive, violent, and pissed off creation would be completely asinine.
“We’re not here to reinvent the wheel, we’re here to play pissed off, heavy music that we love for as many people as we can, and have a great f**king time doing it.” states frontman, Steve Tinnon. Be on the lookout for these guys to devastate your town, and drink all of your beer in the very near future.
